Veer Marathon is a Jain niyam tracker — an app that helps you record and track your daily religious practices. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
This policy is published by Saksham Jain ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions, contact us at jsaksham692@gmail.com.
We collect only the information needed to run the app and keep your tracking history on your account. We do not require a verified login. An account is identified by a phone number, an optional 4-digit PIN, and one or more named profiles.
| Data | Details |
|---|---|
| Phone number | Used to identify your account. Not verified via OTP; used as your account key. |
| Profile name | A name you choose for each profile on the account. |
| Age (optional) | Provided at your discretion; may be left blank. |
| PIN (hashed) | An optional 4-digit PIN. We store only a hashed version, not the PIN itself. |
| Niyam tracking logs | A record of which religious practices you marked complete on each day. This reveals information about your religious beliefs and practices. |
| Push notification token | An Expo push token used to send reminders to your device. |
We use Mixpanel, a third-party product-analytics service, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We send the following to Mixpanel:
Mixpanel processes this data under its own privacy terms. Aside from Mixpanel and our hosting provider (see Section 4), we do not share your personal data with other third parties, and we do not sell it.
Data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Your data is stored at rest on Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL backend) which acts as our hosting and database provider. Your PIN is stored only as a hash, never in plain text.
We keep your account data (phone number, profiles, age, hashed PIN, niyam logs, and push token) for as long as your account exists, so your history remains available to you. When you delete your account, the associated data is permanently removed from our backend as described below.
You can delete your data at any time using either method:
This permanently removes that profile and all of its niyam history from our backend. If it is the only profile on the phone, the phone account and its PIN are removed as well.
Alternatively, email jsaksham692@gmail.com from any address and include the phone number used in the app so we can locate and delete your account. A dedicated deletion-request page is also available at data-deletion.html.
Veer Marathon is a general-audience app intended for people practising or tracking Jain niyams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly target children or intentionally collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at jsaksham692@gmail.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
